The Takahiro pourer is dubbed the ‘Rolls Royce of pouring kettles’ by Oakland based specialty coffee roaster Blue Bottle Coffee.
Its no surprise the Takahiro kettle has a cult following around the world despite the high price tag. The graceful, swan’s-neck spout is believed by many users to offer the perfect, responsive flow of water required for the preparation of a top-class filter coffee.
Notice how the lip of the spout is uniquely shaped, providing the exact precision needed for a perfect-pour. The Takahiro brand was originally known in Japan as a respected manufacturer of professional kitchen equipment.
The Takahiro pourer has now become a popular model with professional Japanese baristas and passionate enthusiasts of the home-based, pour over filter coffee movement.
Question: Will there be a profound difference using the Takahiro kettle?
Answer: It is preference, but Takahiro kettle has the edge in terms of precision pouring and control. If you're after control in your pour-over experience Takahiro is the preferred brand for high-end cafes and coffee lovers.
This little kettle arrived in a very timely matter and upon opening the box I was of course not surprised because all of my purchases from Kurasu have been exceptional . Today, I made the perfect cup of coffee and the spout makes all the difference with approah and pouing. The kettle is high quality stainless and a very elegant addition. I love it, need I say more.
Kettle was excellent allowing great control and precision during pour over. Initially i thought the metal handle will be hot, but was found to be manageable even making 2 seperate cups of coffee.
This is one excellent kettle. Highly recommend it. Precise and elegant in pour and design!
Soon after I placed an order for two of these kettles I received a lovely email confirming that it was received and will be shipped out ASAP. Received the order confirmation with tracking number soon after. The items were well packaged. The kettle itself pours beautifully with great control over pour speed and direction. I boil water in the electric kettle and then transfer it to this one, wait until the temperature drops sufficiently then pour. This is perfect for 1 or 2 cup pour overs and the kettle is super cute to boot!
