This is the best decaf coffee I have tried. I mostly only drink decaf and it is not easy to find a high quality one, though I'm constantly looking and comparing different brands available in North America (where I live) and in other countries when traveling. Kurasu uses high quality beans. For me, it's the quality of the roasting stands out in particular. This is a true medium roast and it's consistent and precise every time. Never over-roasted, never bitter. The flavor is complex and, yes, you can really taste the flavors and smell the aromas that are described on the bag (brown caramel, peach, etc.) When I make coffee, I weigh the beans, use a burr grinder to freshly grind them for each brew, and use a French press. Even though a French press can be an unforgiving way to make coffee, I always get a beautiful cup when I use these beans along with the appropriate water temp and brew time. I admit that I can be partial to Japanese coffee; some of my other faves are Omotesando and Koffee Mameya (both of which only offer caffeinated). After some days of testing it is going great so far, it makes much clear coffee and way faster that the original v60. The compatibility with the Switch base was a major success from Hario. 10/10

Shipping is free and usually gets to me in 2 days. Unfortunately I have to pause my subscription service as DHL has started charging $24.79 duty tax.

I’m genuinely impressed by the Arita 1616 TY cup and mug in unglazed grey. The design is so reduced and precise that it’s almost breath-taking — they don’t just look good, they border on being small functional artworks on the espresso machine.
In the hand they feel excellent: balanced, comfortable, and—despite being unglazed—almost softly tactile. The lip design is a highlight for me. Drinking from them feels natural and refined, with a really pleasant mouthfeel that makes even a simple coffee feel a bit more special.
